It is well known that there is a cyclic variation in distance between earth and moon. This cyclic variation leads to cyclic fluctuation in gravitational force between earth and moon.  The effect is disturbance in ocean water body giving rise to tide. There may be fatigue force exerted on the outer surface layer of the earth. I am interested in knowing effect of such fatigue load with magnitude and frequency to have an idea of timing of major breakage of earth surface (due to resonance) which may cause seismic/earthquake activities. Recent earthquake disasters indicate increase in likelihood of a series of such events in future. Experts are on the job to sense/monitor seismic activities for early warning but fail in predicting exact timing. In case recent earthquakes are mainly due to fatigue loading due to moon then we may get some success in predicting such event well in time and save human lives. I request the experts in the field to give us feedback on the significant research work done so far in this area. Regards.
