Dear Fellows, in our research a MIG-brazed austenitic corrosion resistant steel joints were examined. During the experiment, the current, voltage and travelling speed were monitored, form which the calculation of the specific heat input is necessary. Some of the specimens were made with pure argon, the others with a mixture of argon and helium. My question is if there is a possibility to use the number 0.8 as a thermal efficiency (like in case of regular short-circuit GMAW) or an another number should be taken into consideration in case of the argon helium mixture.
Thank you in advance! Best regards.
