Since detection of biomolecules takes place in liquid phase, so what are the possible impacts of the liquid phase on semiconducting carbon nanotube during the biosensing process? During my measurements, I feel like the responses I am getting from immunereaction in SWNT chemiresistor is somehow getting suppressed by the adsorption/ existence of water from buffer around the carbon nanotube. Since semiconducting SWNT is very sensitive to moisture, so I doubt that the responses are combination of different factors. Also, I cannot anneal the sensor or do the experiment in heated condition since the proteins might get denatured. Any suggestion on this or any reference paper on this topic. Thanks in advance.
