What is the effect of different solvents for ZnO nanoparticales to made hydrophobic nature?

I prepared ZnO nanoparticale.I am thinking to functionalize with Trichloro (1H, 1H, 2H,2H-perfluorooctyl) silane. which solvent is better to form homogeneous dispersion?which is better in between toluene or acetone.while doing centrifugation which solvent can i use?same solvent or different solvent?any one has idea?

You can use toluene, hexane, chloroform both for reaction and centrifuge.
