As we know we have saturation intensity in which laser absorption decrease due to low population in ground state of medium. as we have long time emission in CW laser so we have much lower power with respect to pulsed ones in equal energy. What value we should except for Cw laser saturation when we have this value for pulsed laser? Could we assume the CW laser as a long pulse and use same relation as used for pulsed lasers damage threshold conversion?
