Weather regimes descriptions aim to be a support to forecasters, on a statistical basis, describing all features and characteristics associated with the specific type (precipitation, cloudiness, fog...). I remember for Italy the work of Colonnel Gazzola of the Aeronautical Meteorological Service which was of great help to forecasters (and may be should be, though neglected, of inspiration even in present times). Circulation weather tyoes are result of dynamic meteorology, related only to circulation.
