I want to synthesis ZSM-5 and in research articles that i have read so far TPABr and TPAOH are used for synthesis of this type of catalyst. I want to know how these two affect the synthesis condition.
In the synthesis of ZSM-5, the use of organic structuring or template like the ones you mentioned aims to direct the structure, ie, to obtain a structure of choice. It is known, therefore, that the choice of the template for this or that syhthesis directly affects the nature of the zeolite to be prepared.

contribution to the energetic stabilization of a more open structure compared with
denser structures. I would recommend this book to read 'Handbook of hydrothermal technology'.

Both are structure directing agents but in some synthesis TPABr could be used coupled with NaOH for replacing TPAOH in order to reduce the cost of the synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolites which is a very important point!
