What is the difference between the planes (0001) and (0002) in an HCP lattice? Are they not identical planes?

The XRD peak of the titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V) has a peak at ~39 degrees. This is referred to as the (0002) plane by many authors. Why is it not called (0001)?
