Are you asking if reliability has the same definition, whether applied to a wireless network or a hardwired system? If your question is about jargon in a particular field, I don't know, and even "reliability" might be defined differently in different disciplines/subject matter fields. However, if you are comparing reliability for two kinds of systems, I would define them the same way. For example, if the reliability of a "connection oriented" system is measured by its mean time to failure, you would want to measure the reliability of a "connectionless" system by its mean time to failure also - and I'd also want to know their standard errors. If you want to measure reliability by probability of a successful operation, and you had subsystems in series, then the overall probability of success is the product of those subsystem probabilities. That would apply to both the connection oriented case and the connectionless case, even though they have different subsystems and even different numbers of subsystems.

connection oriented, service requires the establishment of a connection between the two communicating parties before they start their exchange of packets. of course this connection can be both physical or logical. while connectionless service requires no connection establishment, and packets can be readily communicated.
Reliable - Communications has certain mechanism for retries in case of communicaiton data loss or error. You just command to send some data out and it will try its best effort to guarantee the delivery.
Unreliable - Communications does not guarantee the delivery is successful. The protocol allows the packets to be dropped and not to resend. It is the case for real time voice communication.
Connection Oriented - Connection should be established before communicaiton. The analogy is like a telephone call, one should establish a connection to other party before one speaks.
Connectionless - Broadcast radio like FM radio is one kind of connectionless communication. The radio station does not connect you to send out broadcasts.
In Connection Oriented service , Connection should be established before communication,where as in connection less requires no connection establishment.
connection oriented are reliable but slow,where as connection less unreliable and fast.
