What is the difference between occuring carbonate platform by tectonic settings and carbonate platform without tectonic controls and settings ?
i mean, transgressive and regressive controls not influences by tectonic settings or when tectonic settings influences the characteristics of carbonate platforms.

Carbonate platform growth in active tectonic settings may be strongly influenced by the structural evolution of the basin, including volcanic activity while carbonate platform without active tectonic settings may be not influenced by the volcanic activity.
