I have seen threads that ask the same question but I wanted to raise it again given that the threads have long died out.

I'm at the point where I need to clarify whether I'm doing a mixed methods research or a multimethod research. From my understanding, the differences between them are pinned on their ontological and epistemological assumptions. I suppose the way to overcome the difference is to assume a pragmatist stance.

Would it be right to say that all mixed methods is therefore multimethod, whilst multimethod is simply a research consisting of several methods?

Morse's (2003) multimethod typology demonstrated that a multimethod can be from a singular paradigm (eg: Qual - QUAL or Quan - QUAN), or from multiple paradigms (eg: Quan - Qual). To my understanding this is also a major difference between a multimethod research and a mixed methods research, as the latter is supposed to have a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.
