TSK is a little more complicated (understand and develop), basically it was formulated for solving problems with multiple inputs and outputs (MISO, MIMO) by a 'consequent' in linear equation form. Mamdani is simple and intuitive, commonly is used in easy problems with two inputs and one output. Its 'consequent' normally is a linguistic term like 'high', 'low', 'zero', 'right', etc.. Greetings.
The main difference between them is that the consequence parts of Mamdani fuzzy model are fuzzy sets while those of the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model are linear functions of input variables !!!
Difference Between Mamdani and Sugeno Fuzzy System:
1.Mamdani FIS
- Output membership function is attendant.
- Mamdani inference system is well suited to human input .
- Through defuzzification of rules consequent of crisp result is obtained
2.Sugeno FIS
- No output membership function .
- Sugeno inference system is well suited to mathematically analysis
- No defuzzification here.
