What is the difference between langmuir and freundlich adsorption reaction?

Does this model influence the adsorption isotherm?

From surface science scientific view, the Langmuir is related to the high conformity and uniformity of the surface topography, means the surface active sites have a similar adsorption energy leading to a mono layer coverage.

However, the Freundlich refers to the heterogeneity, meaning the surface holds high roughness and different functional groups with different adsorption energy.
