I'd like to ask a trivial question but it usually makes me confused. Can any one give me precise definition and example of heterogeneous and homogeneous data sets.

homogeneous : i.e data that belong to the same cluster should be as similar as possible.
heterogeneous : i.e data that belong to different clusters should be as different as possible.
I think data that can be represented with normal distribution (Gaussian) considered as Homogeneous data otherwise it is Heterogeneous.
