They both are different as per my knowledge fever is explained by the term pyrexia where body temperature reaches slightly more than the normal body temperature.. (up to 100-101 *F)... while high temperature is described by hyper pyrexia where the body temperature reaches more than 104 *F which can be more serious.. fever can be treated with antipyretic drugs i.e Paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin.. while high temperature (hyper pyrexia ) needs medical emergency.. wait for other comments
Hyperthermia is high temperature. Induced by failure of the body to control or maintain internal temperature. Example. Exposure to high ambient temperature. Pontine hemorrhage. Whre as fever is a response of the body to pyogenic invasion.example malaria viral fever etc
Fever is a form of high temperature in which the body temperature is higher than normal daily body variations and this is due to a re-setting of the hypothalamic set point usually by pyogens.Another form of high temperature that is different from fever is hyperthermia in which there is high temperature but not due to re-setting of the hypothalamic set point.Hyperthermia is caused by drugs like neuroleptics, substance abuse, exercise or exposure to in humid environment.Hyperpyrexia is a degree of fever that is very high 41*C and above. All fever is high temperature but not all high temperature is fever.
high temperature is the temperature above 37 degrees Celsius (average norm is 36.6), fever is a high temperature of 38 degrees (sometimes assumed boundary 37.6), fever is a symptom of a disease process, elevated temperature may occur both in physiological and pathological processes
High temperatures is just simply increased temperatures above either normal body or room temperatures and not necessarily pathogenic-(could be as a result of external causes). Fever is increased body temperature as a result of the body's response to something; mostly pathogenic or of internal origin.
increased body temperature may be a normalcy to a given person if his homoestasis still persists however fever is readily a sign of a pathogenesis according to my discipline. i.e. AYURVEDA.
When the disease becomes threat to life or organs, fever emerges and it acts as a protective covering. In physical appearance, the fever temperature and associated discomfort is a signal and indicator of a disease and its action is a protective self defense mechanism of the body. We can answer almost all the questions about fever with this definition (Magic answer). If we avoid or evade from this definition we will never get proper answer to even a single question.
Just listen to the messages from the body and act according to Aim and Target of fever.
Increase in temperature is hypothermia.Lack of symptoms of fever
