It says that at the end of 2016 India had 600 million tons of proved oil reserves (0.3% of global) and its reserve-production ratio was for 14.9 years. It produced 856 th. barrels per day (0.9% of global production) and consumed 4489 th. barrels per day. So most of oil (above 80%) has to be imported.
