I want to precipitate an aim protein binding to nuclear acid, so i add a final concentration of streptomycin sulfate to 0.83%. But the precipitation didn't have my aim protein. Should I increase the concentration of it or do something else?
According to Linn and Lehman, 0.48 g of streptomycin sulfate should be added to per gram of RNA in the crude homogenate. based on the RNA content of the cells (7% of cell dry weight) a value of 4.09 mmol of streptomycin sulfate per liter homogenate was calculate.

Each protein has different behaviour. So the best options it is to get your one precipitation curve (you have to used different concentrations and for each of them you have to check final protein concentration still remaining soluble.
