Dear members,

Part of the project is removal impurities during the transesterification reaction took place at 70 C for 2hours. After transesterification, materials are transferred into funnel for separation, using hexane and water to separate algae-oil. The upper phase where as oil, the middle phase where emulsifier ( glycerol, impurities, part of oil and hydrophobic), the bottom phase where water, hexane and sulphuric acid ). My target is get rid of sulphuric acid, glycerol and hydrophobic, also earlier I intend to use activate carbon into the reaction for remove of these impurities, unfortunately, some of the impurities didn't removal. Is there any idea how to remove those impurities? I would appreciate it for your thoughts.

Thank you,

Kind regards,

Peter
