Dear RG community! When performing rhizosphere competence assays with entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) I usually applied the conidia onto plant seeds using carboxymethyl cellulose in order to really glue them onto seeds. But the process is messy and time consuming. Is there a faster/ easier way to apply conidia onto seeds? Recently it has come to my attention that a simple immersion of seeds in the conidial suspension results in the conidia to become (irreversibly?) attached to the seeds. Would this work?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help!
