I am looking to analyze a series of functional feeding curves which are clearly demonstrating type I characteristics. I would like to know if there are any specific statistical techniques to 1) describe the curve statistically and, 2) compare different curves generated from different treatments (e.g., temperature). I was thinking of using a piecewise regression approach by identifying the 2 slopes separated by an inflection node. Then I could compare the nodes and the slopes to verify if any differences exist between the different treatments. I am open to any suggestions/publications that discuss this topic. Thank you!
