Please suggest a high graphical resolution software for Water Quality Modeling of Water Supply Pipe Networks which includes the ability to analyze chemical decay. Thank you.
if you talk about the cartography side , i suggest 'Arc gis' , i think that is the best from the resolution side, in the chemical decay side, i propose 'Aqua chem'.
For water supply network modelling, such as water age or chlorine decays modelling, EPANet (water age) or EPANet MSX (decay modelling) are the best products available. Innovyze's water software (i.e. InfoWater) uses basically the same calculation engine with a easier to use interface but it's quite expensive.
Just beware of the decay equations (particularly for chloramine modelling) that are in the MSX documentation, the developers admit that some are very unreliable.
For water supply network modelling another option is MIKE URBAN, it covers modelling of surface runoff, flows, water quality and sediment transport. MIKE URBAN WD is a GIS-based software system for the data management and modelling of flows, pressure distributions and water quality of pressurised water distribution systems. It provides a complete working environment for sophisticated analyses in water supply engineering.
There are several good and free software to mention including SWAT, HEC-HMS... but since you mention about Water Quality Modeling of Water Supply Pipe Networks, I would recommend you to use MIKE URBAN by DHI, which is integration with ArcGIS that you can model the water quality in the collection system in MKE URBAN CS with MOUSE and also MIKE URBAN CS with SWMM.
You can refer to this attachment of MIKE URBAN Collection system User Guide:
smart simulation and sizing tools for every piping and equipment engineer/designer,is pleased to announce a new Pass Software Academic Licence Program to start June 1,2019.
There is no any specific software for water quality modeling in pipe network but you can integrated some software with Arc GIS. if you tell me your specific interest I can recommend the best combination software with Aric-GIS. but try to Arc gis with QUAL2EU , mike11 and mike 21 or other water quality simulation software.
