Usually for SDN use mininet for emulation.If you want to emulate a wireless scenario,you can use mininet and opennet.If you want to simulate a scenario you can use ns3 with mininet.

I suggest you to use OpenDaylight or ONOS as a controller and mininet as an emulator for network topology.
