I prefer dentifrice containing arginine, it is quite effective in my experience.
Anyway, looking for an Evidence Based Dentistry answer to your question, I found an article of a double-blind, randomized, parallel-design clinical study that confirms my opinion.
Fu Y1, Li X, Que K, Wang M, Hu D, Mateo LR, DeVizio W, Zhang YP. Instant dentin hypersensitivity relief of a new desensitizing dentifrice containing 8.0% arginine, a high cleaning calcium carbonate system and 1450 ppm fluoride: a 3-day clinical study in Chengdu, China. Am J Dent. 2010 May;23 Spec No A:20A-27A.
See the abstract in the link below
I also found a good RCT testing the effectiveness of nano-calcium phosphate
paste on sensitivity during and after bleaching, but there was not significant differences in absolute risk and intensity of tooth sensitivity were detected between the groups . I also attache the file if you want to read it.
I sent the full text of Loguercio A,TAY L, Herrera , Bauer J,Reis A “ Effectiveness of nano-calcium phosphate paste on sensitivity during and after bleaching: a randomized clinical trial “ Braz Oral Res [online]. 2015;29(1):1-7
Dentifrice containing 8.0% arginine are used to dentin hypersensitivity like exposed roots, not in dental bleaching protocols, these uses 0.5% potassium nitrate and 0.11% fluoride ions, 3% potassium nitrate and 1.1% fluoride ions, this desensitizing agents are effective in close the enamel diffusion , in the report of LOGUERCIO he used nano-calcium phosphate paste associated with fluoride and potassium nitrate.
