What tissue(s) are you extracting RNA from, which method are you following, and what fraction of RNA are you intrested in (mRNA, smRNA)? For almost all plant tissues, Trizol extraction (http://tools.lifetechnologies.com/content/sfs/manuals/trizol_reagent.pdf) works very well. In this protocol, you can use the optional step(#2) during sample homogenization for samples with high content of fat, proteins, polysaccharides, or extracellular material to remove insoluble material from the samples. Alternatively, for some problematic tissues, Lithium Chloride method can be used (http://www.lifetechnologies.com/us/en/home/references/ambion-tech-support/rna-isolation/general-articles/the-use-of-licl-precipitation-for-rna-purification.html).
Use XcelGen Plant RNA Mini Kit Cat No XG 6611-01 and we have got the very good result from various plant including Mango, rubber, pigeonpa etc and very economical. Contact Mr Prateek Keshri @09543742342/07505971917.
Thank you Rajandeep Sekon sir for your consideration but i have tried trizol method and unable to find the solution of my problem. I will try the lithium chloride.
Thank you Surendra K Chikara sir for your suggestion.
Thank you Valerie S Densmore for sending a very nice protocol.
