What is the best method of preserving samples for mercury speciation analysis of sediment and biota?

Preservation with 0.2% (v/v) H(2)SO(4) is recommended for seawater sample to avoid exceeding the optimal chloride concentration for distillation process for MMHg? Does this hold true for sediment and biota?
