I believe that the best method of language teaching and learning is a full immersion style program where from the moment you walk into the class to the moment you walk out all that is spoken is the language you are trying to learn. You either learn the correct vocabulary and how to use it or you get left behind in the language. It is what the U.S. military language schools use for teaching the members the language. There is a widely used approach nowadays of language teaching favoured by many teachers based on the communicative method where emphasis is devoted to the learners in stead of teachers in the classroom. The memorization of words by learners with their meanings and rules of grammar is no longer favoured by teachers. First of all, there is not a “magic” teaching method which applies in every learning environment since each classroom consists of different students each time; i.e, students with different learning style, aptitudes, etc. But, generally speaking, language teaching has to raise the students’ interest and not to be just a ”plain” teaching of grammar. For instance, the teacher can involve students in roles with live conversations, enhancing in that way their communicative skills. Furthermore, all language levels have to be taught equally, even the pronunciation of a foreign language. Finally, the teaching has to be interactive; all learners should contribute to the teaching being able to share their ideas/experiences.

No, I think there is no particular method for language teaching. Each method has its own importance and own benefits, Let's first talk about the direct method of language teaching, the Grammar translation method as well as the Communicative Language Teaching method. As a learner there is no as such particular or Ideal method for language teaching, but the required outcomes are important

Teaching any language depends on the context you and the students are in and the language focus. You may try a blended approach in which you use technology in teaching some contents and use the traditional classroom mode for some activities that need to be monitored closely. Two of my PhD advisees, both English teachers did an experiment using technology in teaching speaking and enhancing engagement of ELT students. The experiments showed positive results in students's performance.

According to my experience, there is not a best method. It depends on the moment, the content, the diversity of the student, and many other facts. But for me, the best way is the combination of different methods, without thinking on a best one.

The easiest method to learn a foreign language (my Father told me) is to take an interesting book. In my case the book was "The Most Dangerous Game" [there exist 2 books by this very name... and now I can not remember which of them I "employed". Well, the book should be at least 200 pages long.

You start reading - IMPORTANTLY without the Dictionary

Quite naturally during 10-15-20 pages, the extent of your understanding is very low... But you should continue reading w/o Dictionary... And when you reach appr. the 40th page you suddenly discover that you understand almost everything

1. I learned Japanese culture before the language to understand the concept of words.

2.Besides the school; I also learned Japanese by watching cartoons and listening to songs. It helped me get the human feelings behind the words without memorazing .

3. After twenty years that I left Japan ; I still remember most of the language because I learned it with my heart and not by heart.

Practicing that language with the native speakers. (Some advice to marry a native speaker.)

There is no such thing as the best method in teaching, may it be language or other subjects. The method a teacher can use and even experiment depends on the nature of the students, the language itself, the subject and the motivation of students. For learning a language, immersion is one method that can improve the target language. Students should be away from friends who speak the same language and befriend those who speak the target language. Success in learning a language depends on the frequency of practice, thus, a teacher should give students more opportunities to practice. Lectures do not work in language classes especially for technology savvy students. Engaging activities and projects will work better. The method a teacher can use also depends on what language skills are targeted.

There is no such method good or bad in teaching, Each method in teaching a language has its merits and demerits. Teacher should be use such method by which the learners are understood easily and quickly. Lots of Teachers use flashcard systems, which involve writing words or sentences in your target language on one side and a picture or translation on the other and Audio -visual aids are use for good under standing topic for the learner, finally the good or method of teaching will decide on the basis how much understood the topic to the learner.

Best method is learning basic vocabulary and the sentences which we need to speak in day to day conversation. Secondly, if it is possible then interact with native people to understand the intricacy of the language . I learned Hungarian which is a unique language as this falls in the language group (Finnish-Hungarian) which is different then Indo-European language group while living with Hungarian. I have seen many illiterate boys guiding tourist and speaking Spanish, French and German fluently.
