I would like to know the best method to determine soil enzymes from a particular soil
These are the methods, I am using for a long time and found most reliable
1. Urease activity : Douglas & Bremner (1970)
2. Lipase-Esterase activity : Margesin et al (2002)
3. Esterase activity : Schnurer and Rosswell (1982)
4. Phosphatase activity : Tabatabai and Bremner (1969)
5. Dehydrogenase activity: ( Casida et al. 1964)
6. Arylsulfatase activity: Tabatabai and Bremner (1970)
7. Beta-Glycosidase activity : Jermyn, (1958) for fungi, Barnett et al. (1956) for yeast and Veibel (1950) for plants
8. Phytase activity : Asmar (1997), Tarafdar et al. (2001)
