Abstract
Fasting is an important commitment of Islam and one of the fundamentals of Muslim life. By abstinence from all types of foods from dawn to dusk typically can provide great health benefits including the reduction in weight, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, type 2 diabetes detoxification, prevention and reduction of various other ailments. The basic aim of this paper is to highlight the role of fasting in optimum health and elevating various ailments. In modern lifestyle, the fasting of one month has shown the positive and long-lasting impact on wellbeing.
