Kanhaiya Lal I tried in tubular furnace. But it contaminates tube of the furnace. I burnt sugarcane bagasse powder. But what happens is it forms sticky substance on the lining of quartz tube.

Can you suggest some setup to carbonize biomass in tubular furnace....like type of crucible to be used or cover the crucible etc??

Kanhaiya Lal I did pyrolysis in Argon atmosphere at the heating rate rate of 5 C/min. Still it forms Sticky substance (tar)
