Organic matter deposition is hard deposition. In most of the case acetone or alcohol will not help in cleaning the quartz tube, so if you wish you can try with dilute acids and then rinsing with water.
The tube-cleaning process is a critical part of your preparation. Using the first cleaning step to remove metallic impurities. If you use to HF etch first, you may etch the glass around the metallic impurity, but not necessarily remove it. If you only HF etch, some metallic impurities may remain. For the first step aqua regia can be used – an acid mix of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and water. A typical acid cleaning cycle is 30-60 minutes with aqua regia to remove the typical metallic impurities, followed by a DI water rinse. You may want to adjust the time depending on your process. Following method to be used to cleaning of quartz tube and chemical circulation with temperature may be much time.
1. Wash with HCl or Aqua regia acid solution (HCl+HNO3) is the ultimate solution .Aqua regia dissolves burnt waste organic matter carbon deposition.
2. Conc. nitric acid (preferably) with added hydrogen peroxide
3. Aqueous ammonium hydroxide, ammonium persulphate or ammonium carbonate, with added hydrogen peroxide and/or potassium hydroxide;
4. Ammonium per sulphate (~40 wt %) acidulated with conc. sulphuric acid;
5. Concentrated sulphuric acid or either aerated or oxygenated diluted sulphuric acid (~10% w/w);
6. Solution (~1:2) of hydrogen peroxide (~20 w/v) in sulphuric acid (~15 % w/w);
7. ( chromic acid (~10 % w/w),
8. Mixture (~1:2) of chromic acid with sulphuric acid (both ~10 % w/w).
