I am very new to the topic of fatigue life prediction so i would like to know the mostly used damage model for anistorpic material. Please give me some suggestions and any material or links regarding the topic is appreciable.
I guess this is a tricky one, as different models were based on different observations. I guess the best answer to this is whichever model that fits your experimental results most accurately?
the term "anisotropic" sounds too generic. For example, textured metals and composites are both examples of anisotropic materials, but they behave quite differently.
Denis Benasciutti Thank you for addressing my question. The anisotropic material which I would work on is fiber-reinforced composites. Do you have any suggestions for damage model and also the fatigue life model?
