In most African countries women constitute 40% of its rural dwellers because they are mostly used to agricultural farming in the communities. Women get involved in this profession mostly because they want to use that means to cater for their large number of families not as a desire. Some of these rural women involved in agricultural produce have never seen the four walls of educational institutions hence they feel cheated. When some of them are interviewed they frantically express their unhappiness towards not being able to go to school. And that if given the opportunity not minding their age so long as they are healthy, they will want to be educated to a level which they can attain individually.
Though we encourage agriculture but the need for this women to have the rudiments of education became necessary because it will offer a lot of benefits to both their families and the society in general.
A very good contribution Navaraj. Thank you so much but the observation I have and based on my interview with a good number of them in my country Nigeria, the women want the education as it is obtained in the normal schools from primary to secondary at least.
According to the informal survey interview I had with some of them, they wouldn't want to be treated specially, that even though some of them are grandparents, they can still wear uniform and attend the 8am to 2pm classes each day but they have to be in a special school that have their kind of category.
They are interested in passing through the educational system in a very formal way so trying to design classes briefly or at certain odd time in a bid to suit them may not really be the ideal. Majority of this class of women are actually idling away at home because they already have a source of income through their children but are not satisfied with life except they experience schooling according to them. This really involves critical thinking. I look forward to your further contribution.

Hello Peter, I must say I am very much impressed by your answer because problem based learning is an approach that will assist collaborative learning process while the learners are guided. In this vein the women will be able to collaborate with each order in various ways like reading out articles and explaining what they have read to their fellow women. It will greatly enhance their performance because the skill we want to impart on them is basically how to read and write and to communicate effectively in the chosen common language, in this case English Language.
So I have accepted that as one of the approaches while waiting for other suggestions. Thank you very much
