Therefore consider which papers have influenced your research, where are similar articles published?

Hi, in my opinion, it depends on your research. If your study includes a wide sample of students (including students and institutions from other countries), then I would recommend you a wider focus journal with an acceptable ranking. If your study has a small sample of students or geographically focused in a small area, where the local conditions make difficult the extrapolation of results, then I would suggest you a specialized journal.

I would recommend to look at what articles each of these journals publish. If you find something similar to the research you have done, go for that journal. 

My recommendation would be to choose the journal with the wider distribution. When I do searches for my own research, I do consider the ranking of journals, but the topics are usually so narrow that confining my search to a short list of highly ranked journals is just not a reasonable option. And, depending on who it is that you would like to see read your work, open access might be a plus.

I would recommend a journal which suits your combination of interests.

Many are faced with such a choice as we strive towards relevant, quality publications. Another quick way to locate the journal that best suits you is by combining terms such as 'peer-reviewed', country name, subject etc. I'm adding a url found this way, that is recent enough to provide more than one good option if needed.

 To me journals are market places for marketing your academic work or written talents. In this day and age of nano tech, the website that advertises your work and gets consumed frequently makes a good online journal to me. This is because like the traditional mess media, your work is being appreciated, consumed and benefited by a large consumerist society. They more frequent your website is visited and work downloaded should speak volume.

This may be a radical thinking but that this is the theory of consumer competition.

The truth now in PNG for example is that traditional media organizations such as the National News paper, Post Courier and other printing houses are not making money because most kids would run to do google search instead of ...

So, what is your argument now? 

Prefer ISI index.

I would go with my advice in the opposite direction

i.e. which journals should be avoided in a query for possibilities
