What is the benchmark temperature gradient in vertical direction of double skin facade to upgrade from a 1D to 2D model?

Dear colleagues,

I wonder what is the benchmark temperature gradient in vertical direction of double skin facade to upgrade from a 1D to 2D model? Which layer would you consider as relevant, air duct temperature or surface temperature of inner layer of DSF?

to my knowledge ,the surface temperature of inner layer of double skin facade is more relevant as the purpose of double skin is to maintain internal temperature.
