Hi Luke, as far as I know, there are two main forms of Hsp90 in human. They are Hsp90-α and Hsp90-β. Hsp90-β acts as a chaperone and is constitutively expressed while Hsp90-α is the stress inducible form and has a key role in wound healing and tumor metastasis. I watched a video of Dr, Wei Li' speech in USC, which talked about his new findings on how the secreted form of Hsp90-α promoted cell invasion. I think you will be interested in watching it! Very inspiring and interesting speech!
And to my opinion, temperature and oxidative stress are two major factors for Hsp90's stress response based on a number of publications on these two factors. Other factors might be radiation, drugs, and heavy metals.
