I would like to determine the different instars of S. zeamais.

I'm not sure if you have literature with specific data yet, but when I measure the head capsule of C. includens I usually measure eye to eye looking at the dorsal side. If you have literature with the head capsule measurements already determined, you can find one that you know the instar of and compare your measurement to the literature. This can also help refine your technique. Hope this helps!
