With a research group we are trying to activate a research project on spirituality of the sick. Spirituality is saying a lot, you write and much has been written, but we would like to find something original and close to human reality. What do you think?
To me music is a vivid expression of spirituality. Perhaps you need to look at the practices that make people feel more alive, give them a higher sense of awareness and well-being. It could also be connectedness to other biological systems and creatures. In a recent experiment in a hospital patients were allowed to spend one hour per week with their pets and their health improved. It could be that well-being through spirituality led to physical well-being.
For me there are two research questions. First, do we (have to) distinguish between spirituality when being alone (for instance meditating) and when we are with someone else? Second, to what extent are well-being and spirituality related, could there be spirituality without well-being?

Spirituality for me is your awareness on your destination in life. Spirituality for me is keeping myself disciplined, helping others, being compassionate about everything that we do.
Spirituality for me is my consciousness that drives every single cell in my body to make me aware from the outside and from the inside. Spirituality is my connection with the spiritual world that resides within me and around me; for it is this energy that can drive the matter that made me and that which can help me experience all that is around me.

There is spirituality wherever there is:
- Hope - probably explaining to some extent why art and music in particular are so spiritual, some sort of vocal prayer
- Physical and mental dwellings of ideas - from open markets, libraries and old bookshops to social networks and research labs - ideas are mental initiations we all need before we can consume or enjoy products
- Poverty (some kind of) and Transitions - probably because you need both hope and ideas to get out of poverty or/and to make the transfer from one place/state to another, or probably because people feel happiness in a more genuine way when they are poor or transitioning (constructing or experiencing something new)
Where there is life - there is Spirit .....whether we recognise it or not. Spirituality involves the recognition of Spirit. It can also involve the study of it......
just watched a documentary film 'Kid Poker' on netflix.... spirituality for me is my own weaknesses that I hide from others. This kid poker finds a genuine way to poke 'what you've got' without giving away his own strategy so others draw experience and energy from him without diminishing their own way of thinking.
