I think that the global assessment of the person is an advanced competence in nursing as in other disciplines, as the skills used are: the logic and critical thinking skills, the capacity for analysis and synthesis, the ability to make predictions and to use maps conceptual. What do you think?

That is an interesting idea. I think your question deserves a survey on this to other nursing schools (University of Pittsburgh, Johns Hopkins U. and others or at the very least a dialogue or conference presentation at the Yale Nursing Conference on Global Health next spring. Dr. Doswell

I love the idea of learning and everyone not just doctors and nurses or other health care workers need to learn about medicine yet we never teach introduction to medicine in High Schools around the world. As long as it is teaching and not judging or testing then sure just watch Doctor House to see the value of what you suggest. What I find appalling is the increasing rigidity of a hierarchy arranged as machines, habits or mindsets that seem to benefit Big Pharma, doctors, nurses, patients in that order. Maps are how we discovered the cause of most diseases from yellow fever to cholera. Sure lets take a look at maps! (see link)
