What is “spin” in a study?
Is it OK spinning or ethically wrong? As a reviewer, What would you do if you see “spin” in a paper Whilst you are rewieving a paper?
As a author would you endorse “spin” in a paper?

Objectivity and truthful, value-neutral interpretation is a hallmark of science and research, though some social scientists would argue that only dead people can maintain value neutrality. However, a deliberate spin is akin to falsifying the findings. Therefore it should be morally and ethically abhorred. As a reviewer, I always proactively try to spot the spin and report back with polite words such as "the study findings do not match with the data" or "conclusions do not flow out of the results."

Definitely it's wrong..as this will deceive the readers and misguide the further research..Have known cases where results were modified as per the requirements or desired by the researcher..It's like a match fixing!!
Only a reviewer expert in spin detection can point out..
In my opinion an astute researcher should always avoid the "deliberate spin" ..
