This is a question for most people seeking admission into colleges or universities. The course sound interesting but considering the cost of education nowadays, its normal to know if a sociology degree can find you the right job in labor market. It will be appreciated if you can tell me where sociology graduates have worked over the years.
After graduating in Sociology,you may like to work as an independent researcher or go ahead and join academia or Government departments.....

as a sociologist you certainly lake the occupational training that -say lawyers- have. However, from my experience you get good skills to be an 'generalist' (suited to work in start up companies or any field where processes/ knowledge changes very fast and you have to be able to adapt to new knowledge quickly). In principal opportunity to find an adequate position depends on your focus during your training (a lot of my former students ended up in human resource departments or (political) communication agencies because the university offered special courses and arranged for internship positions in these fields). I´d say the studying sociology gives you crucial background skills on which you can build individually.
