By growing a vast majority of bacteria, is the same using sheep, goat or horse blood. I have also used rabbit blood. The difference is the hemolytic reaction you are expecting. I have no experience by performing MHA.

I did not understand what MHA mean... I just realized that is Mueller Hinton Agar. So I have a new answer. The agar recommended for Disk diffussion is MHA. and no other one. The ion concentration makes a big difference instead TSA .
