I have requested some minor revisions from editor after second round review of my manuscript. I have submitted revisions on December 9th. My manuscript supposed to be published in their December issue. Neither they include my manuscript in their December issue, nor they ask any question. I asked follow up question to them on January 2nd to know about my manuscript's position but I have not heard from them yet. Every stage of review they advised me to include references from their journals, but I was not able to do that. The article was submitted in January 2021. It took more than one year. Really frustrating.
I don't want waste more time. Is it ethical to withdraw my paper at this position??
The reason can be that either they have not got a response from reviewers after your submission or the decision depends on the Editor in Chief. He may again ask the third opinion and in this case, the replies are generally late. I waited for around 25 days and got a response. That too after frequent emails to the editor.
