I am trying to create the simulated data set for beta mixed model. I am trying to create longitudinal normal and skew-normal response variable which should be continuous within the interval of 0 and 1. along with response variable I would like to create some categorical and some quantitive explanatory variables. Random effect are assumed to be skew normal and skew t. Any suggestions please???

I mean, I am trying to create two kinds data set. One response variable should normal shape and bounded within 0 and 1 (continuous). Other should have skewed shape (skew normal) and bounded within 0 and 1 (continuous). Observations should be correlated (such as repeated measures or clustered in nature). Along with response variable, set of covariates should be required ( I wanted some categorical and some continuous variable). Random effect is assumed to be skew normal and skew-t. I am trying to test the model I have created for beta mixed model class of distribution. If you know any books or articles which would help me to follow, please suggest me. David Eugene Booth

Well you can't have a normal distribution such as you requested between 0 and 1 unless you can map (-inf,inf) to (0,1) with. an isomorphism. My conjecture is that isomorphism does not exist. My idea is that there are more real
numbers on the real axis than in (0,1).. Any one care to make this rigorous or to show my conjecture is correct. In my Real Analysis courses they proved something like this.
