Here is a procedures for preparing pressed Pt electrode, from the paper:

Pressed discs electrodes. 300 mg of Pt powder was placed in an IR pellet press die (Specac) with a 4 mm internal diameter. The powder was gently pressed down using the stainless steel IR die drive rod, no hydraulic press was used at this time. Then, 0.15 mg of the RuO2 powder was added to the die. A composite disk was fabricated by applying 2 T of pressure for 10 s in a hydraulic press. The composite disc had a geometric area of 0.125 cm−2 and a catalyst loading of 1.2 mg cm−2. For electrochemical analysis, the pressed discs were tested using a RDE assembly which accepts 4 mm diameter electrode discs (ALS Co. Ltd).
