I am trying to model coupled fluid mechanical problem in FLAC 5.
What is the physical significance of Biot coefficient. The manual says Biot coefficient equal to 1 for in-compressible grain and less than 1 for compressible grain. In soil mechanics we assume that soil grains are in-compressible so what value of Biot coefficient should be used.
Are these comprehensibility and incomprehensibility of grain related to drained and undrained analysis.
