I do not really know what you mean with negative soil pollution. Does it imply that there is something like positive soil pollution?
In my opinion soil pollution is always negative. Pollution means that the soil contains some components that have negative effect on the function of the soil in any meaning, but mostly there is an effect on the soil ecosystem or the function of the soil as a prerequisit for agricultural use. Often crops do accumulate elements which are seen as pollutants. A good example is rice in asian countries like Bangladesh or India which accumulates Arsenic.
The soil ecosystem is an important factor for agricultural use. Is the ecosystem damaged due to pollution the crop will be less compared to soils with intact ecosystem.
The soil must also be seen as a source for groundwater. Infiltration of surface water to replenish groundwater can be a pathway for pollutants to the drinking water supply.
Pollutants must not necessarily be of human origin. There are soils that contain high amounts of metals from natural origin, for example soils above some volcanic bedrock. These soils often can not provide agricultural use due to the same reasons.
Negative soil pollution typically refers to efforts or practices aimed at reducing or preventing soil pollution. It involves implementing measures to maintain soil quality and prevent the introduction of harmful substances, contaminants, or pollutants into the soil. This can include sustainable agricultural practices, proper waste disposal, and the use of environmentally friendly soil management techniques.
Negative soil pollution is the part of soil pollution by which some negative substances (organic or inorganic) are mixed naturally or artificially at the time of natural or human activities with the soil. Percolation of polluted rainwater in soil and mixing of soil stabilization chemicals are examples of negative soil pollution.
Other meaning, Negative soil pollution would refer to the absence or reduction of harmful contaminants in the soil, promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment for plant growth and other ecosystem functions.
Negative soil pollution typically refers to the presence of harmful substances in the soil, such as pesticides, heavy metals, or industrial chemicals, which can lead to a decline in soil health and productivity. While erosion and overuse can contribute to soil degradation, soil pollution specifically involves the introduction of contaminants that negatively impact the ecosystem and may harm plant and microbial life.
Negative soil pollution is reduction in soil productivity due to erosion and over use. Negative soil pollution occurs due to the overuse of soil & its erosion hence there will be a decrease in soil productivity.
The other causes of negative soil pollution such as developmental activities, overgrazing and soil erosion.
