Feminisation in agriculture means the trend of growing number of momen being employed in agriculture. In some countries it is due to the fact that men leave rural areas to get a better payed job in industry and women take over traditional activities in agriculture.

Women make up about 33% of cultivators and about 47% percent of agricultural laborers but In India only 14.9% of households are female headed. Women face difficulties in obtaining credit for agriculture.
