The Pholidoptera genus is well investigated in Europe and after Harz v.1 The Orthoptera of Europe (1969) the only one species was described like new (Ph. lucasi). When my colleague from Zoological Institute Ac Sci Ukr Taras Pushkar identified two mails in my collection (slender black or brown body) from the Stinka ridge closely near the Slovak state border (in the East Beskidian ridge) like Ph. fallax (it is known from Zakarpattia after Szabolcs Szanyi et al 2015) I hasitated from the beginning as locality is not typical for this species and existing some other morphological differencies. So, I tried to use Harz for correct identification but the key guide me into Ph. pustulipes that inhabited the Crimea peninsular and Caucasus. Esp close is P. pustulipes jailensis MIR. I927 (size of body not more than 20mm etc.). I have several Ph. pustulipes from the Crimea (eg from the Aj-Petri) in my collection so, can compare but only mails that have some differencies in cerci and titillators. No other keens species appeared in this book!

So, several photos of this Ph. sp. and Ph. pustulipes for comparison.
