distributed computing is necessary for at least two reasons.

First : sending all the raw data to a base station for centralized processing is very costly in terms of energy consumption and often impractical for large networks because of the scalability problem of wireless networks’ transport capacity

Second : merely using a large number of inexpensive devices to collect data hardly fundamentally changes the way humans interact with the physical world; and it is the intelligence embedded inside the network (i.e., distributed computing) that can have a profound impact.

This subject only IEEE International Conference and A small number of researchers in this field as I viewed within researchgate , Please, if You have any resources about Distributed Computing in Sensor Systems (DCOSS) ?
