I see a small difference between Green Networking and Green Communication.
I would define Green Networking as follows:
Green Networking represents all activities that enable the planning, maintenance and use of communication networks as well as the production, operation and disposal of network components to minimize their negative impact on the environment. The life cycle assessment of communication networks and their components must also be taken into account.

To realize Green Networking, the following four main objectives must be pursued:
- Green design and maintenance of communication networks,
- Green manufacturing of network components,
- Green use of networks,
- Green disposal of network components.
From this my definition of Green Networking results:
